First of all, thank you for coming to our site. You are visitor number
Please sign our guestbook to let us know you were here.

We are NEAD Scotland, a not-for-profit voluntary organisation established and launched in February 2009. In March 2009 we joined the Long Term Conditions Alliance Scotland, with the purpose of accepting their assistance in achieving our goals of raised awareness & tolerance.

The purposes of our site are:-
  • To raise awareness of NEAD, as too few people are aware it exists.
  • To allow people living with Non Epileptic Attack Disorder, their carers, families and friends a place to talk to one another about the experiences they have due to this condition, and the impact it has on their lives.
  • To inform people of the condition, and try to give at least a little insight about the impact it can have on people's lives.

We warmly welcome people who have never encountered NEAD, and hope we can raise awareness amongst you all.

Although this site is intended to give as much information relating to NEAD as possible, it is in no way intended to be the definitive resource for this illness.

Our intention with the site is to raise awareness of the condition, bring people together and hopefully allow others to appreciate how real & life-impacting this condition is.

Anyone with any concerns is strongly urged in the first instance to contact their GP - only they can refer you to a specialist consultant who will be able to confirm any possible diagnoses.

We are based in the West of Scotland, however the site and its use is for anyone anywhere in the world as we believe that to have a true picture built of how we live with NEAD we need to have input from as broad a spectrum of people as possible. We hope this will eventually also include medical professionals.

We sincerely hope that you have positive experiences from the use of our forum etc.
However, should this not be the case please contact us at admin@nead-scotland.org and we will be delighted to assist and rectify any issues for you.
